This is what Finansforbundet is working to achieve
Five central
concepts you should know
Read the five concepts
Did you know that...
- according to the GDPR, important decisions about an employee must not be made solely by an algorithm?
- as a rule, your employer is allowed to record data about you without asking, as long as the data is factual and necessary? You do, however, have the right to know what, why and how.
- almost 80% of the members of Finansforbundet know that their data is being collected, but few know which, how and why.
- under the standard collective agreement, Finansforbundet has made an agreement comprising recommendations on how to discuss and develop employee data guidelines.
- surveillance via technology, e.g. logging, CCTV or performance measurements, may be in violation of the Danish Working Environment Act if such surveillance causes stress or a feeling of insecurity?
- delegates have the right to collect analyses if new systems could affect employees' privacy and rights?
- many companies' data ethics policies are only about customers and do not include employees at all?
- many AI systems are trained on historical data, and, therefore, they may easily recreate old biases, for example against age, gender or ethnicity?
