Rules and FAQ

Read the rules for the “Member-Get-Member” campaign and find answers to frequently asked questions.

What rules apply to the campaign?
  • You can recommend as many people as you like. All employees in the financial sector can become members of Finansforbundet.
  • The campaign applies only to new members who are employed full-time or part-time, meaning student assistants are not eligible.
  • As an existing member, you will receive a reward in the form of a gift card when you help us recruit a new full-time or part-time member.
  • We will send the gift card to the existing member once the new member has signed up. It may take up to two weeks before you receive the gift card.
  • Gift cards are taxable, and you are responsible for reporting them to the tax authorities (B-income).
  • The recommended/new member must not have been a member of Finansforbundet within the last six months.
  • The referral and registration of a new member follow a "first-come, first-served" principle. If multiple members recommend the same person, the first to do so will receive the reward.
  • The new member can terminate their membership according to Finansforbundet’s rules for resignation:
    • If you are employed:
      • If you remain in the financial sector, the notice period is three months.
      • If you transition to a job outside the sector, the notice period is the current month plus one month.
    • If you are unemployed:
      • The notice period is the current month plus one month.
  • Finansforbundet reserves the right to change the terms and conditions.
When will I receive my reward?

We will send the gift card to the existing member once the new member has signed up. It may take up to two weeks before you receive the gift card.

How many colleagues can I refer?

You can refer or submit contact details for as many potential members as you like. However, please note that gift cards are taxable, and you are responsible for reporting them to the tax authorities (B-income).

Do I have to pay taxes on my reward?

Yes, you must pay taxes on the amount of your gift card (B-income) and report it to the tax authorities yourself.

Why haven't I received my gift card?

We send your gift card once we have registered that your colleague has joined. It may take a few weeks before the registration appears in our membership system. If you are in doubt, contact us at hverveservice@finansforbundet.dk

My colleague hasn’t heard from you?

Reaching out to potential members is a high priority for us, and we contact them in the order we receive their information from the website. You are always welcome to contact us at +45 32 96 46 00.

I receive a gift card, but what does the new member get?

All new members receive three months of free membership.

Does this campaign also apply to students?

The campaign does not apply to students.

We have a similar campaign for students, where they can invite a fellow student for a conversation. If the fellow student becomes a member, both will receive a DKK 100 gift card.

Isn't this campaign a waste of members' money?

The more members we have in Finansforbundet, the stronger we are. This campaign can be the extra push needed to encourage people to join. It is an investment that ultimately benefits the organization by attracting new members.
