As a student, your salary and employment terms will vary depending on the collective agreement that covers you. The majority of students in the financial sector are covered by Finansforbundet’s Standard Collective Agreement (STOK) or one of Finansforbundet’s Company Collective Agreements (VOKs). However, you may also be covered by one of Finansforbundet’s Special Collective Agreements or FinTech Collective Agreements.

If you are unsure which collective agreement applies to you, or if you have questions about your salary and employment terms, it is a very good idea to contact your union representative or Finansforbundet on +45 32 96 46 00 or at post@finansforbundet.dk.

You can find an overview of Finansforbundet’s collective agreements here.

Below, you will find an overall description of the most important salary and employment terms for students covered by Finansforbundet’s Standard Collective Agreement (STOK), as it covers more than 100 companies in the financial sector. If you are instead employed by one of the companies/groups covered by one of Finansforbundet’s Company Collective Agreements (VOKs), your salary and employment terms will typically be very similar to the terms under the STOK described below.

Students’ Salary and Employment Terms Under the Standard Collective Agreement (STOK)

If you are employed by a company covered by the STOK, Finansforbundet has secured attractive salary and employment terms for you. For example, you are entitled to the annual salary increases provided for under the collective agreement, and you are guaranteed a high minimum salary.

For the period 2025-2027, Finansforbundet has negotiated the following minimum salaries and annual salary increases for students:

Annual Salary Increases

 2026:

In addition to the minimum salary, it has also been agreed that students receive compensation for care days, the sixth week of annual leave, and the employer's pension contribution as a supplement to their salary.

The value of the care days and the sixth week of annual leave is 1.92% of annual salary, while the value of the employer's pension contribution is 11.65%, corresponding to a total salary supplement of 15.49%.

Working Hours and Insurance

In addition, Finansforbundet has secured your right as a student to both Dental Insurance and Health Insurance, and your working hours must be arranged with due consideration for your studies.

If you are required to work at special times, such as weekends or evenings, you are entitled to an hourly supplement of 25-75% of your hourly rate.

REMEMBER!

If you are uncertain about your salary and employment terms as a student, or if you have any questions regarding these terms, it is always a good idea to contact your union representative or Finansforbundet.
