Membership of Finansforbundet is at a record high. And there is a good reason why, finds Dorrit Brandt.

Membership of Finansforbundet has never been higher.

The number of members increased by more than 1,000 from 2022 to 2023 and has now passed 57,000 members.

It pleases Dorrit Brandt, President of Finansforbundet.

“It is very positive to see membership expanding in times of fierce competition. Joining a trade union is no longer a matter of course, and recruiting new members takes a huge and active effort.”

The growth in membership is primarily driven by employed members who accounted for a 33 per cent rise from 2022 to 2023. But we have also welcomed more pensioners and students. In fact, the number of student members grew 10 per cent from 2022 to 2023.

“We want to be the go-to resource for advice in career matters for even more people, so new members are more than welcome.”

Satisfied members

And it not so surprising why more decide to join our community, says Dorrit Brandt.
“The great satisfaction expressed by our members is an excellent starting point,“ says Dorrit Brandt, referring to Finansforbundet’s latest member satisfaction survey.

The survey found, among other things, that the members are very satisfied with the advice they receive, and nine out of ten would recommend Finansforbundet to friends and colleagues.
“Finansforbundet makes a great effort centrally, but there is no doubt that our members and union representatives are absolutely indispensable as ambassadors in everyday matters in the organisations. This closeness is absolutely vital for including new colleagues in our community,” says Dorrit Brandt.

She hopes to see even more join Finansforbundet in future.

“We want to be the go-to resource for advice in career matters for even more people, so new members are more than welcome. That’s why we take great efforts to stock something for everyone working – or wanting to work – in the financial sector. Whether you are a student, adviser, IT specialist, compliance expert or something fifth in the field of finance, membership of Finansforbundet makes really good sense,” says Dorrit Brandt.
