”The more we are in the community, the better conditions we can achieve in terms of collective agreements, salary and employment.”

”I couldn't dream of not being a member of a union. When you ask yourself if you are on the right shelf, it can be very valuable to get help to put it into relief from someone who is not emotionally involved.”

”I didn't realize how many opportunities it entailed. So far I've taken two or three courses. And I've gained more precise knowledge about the collective agreement. That’s useful as a leader.”.

”There is no doubt in my mind that I have gained big benefits of my membership. From new professional competences, clearer career direction and the certainty of support if something were to happen in my employment.”

There are many good reasons to be part of the collegial community and secure safety net that Finansforbundet in Nordea offers. The four quotes are just excerpts from quotes with members we have previously interviewed.

Special offer in October
If you have a colleague who wants to hear more about the benefits of becoming a member, hurry up. In October, Finansforbundet has a special offer for new members. Both the new member, and the person who refers a member, will each receive a gift card of DKK 400. Remember to do it here before 31 October

As a member, you get a number of benefits:

More people in the community
"We always want to be more people in the community. Together, we are stronger, whether we negotiate new collective agreements, discuss well-being in the Consultative Committees or examine attitudes to flexibility in working life," says board member Louise Have Lund.

That is why we regularly plan events and new initiatives.

For example, we regularly visit the head offices in Metro and Hermes Hus, where we hand out chocolates, hold competitions and enter into dialogue with both members and those who are not members yet. Next time is 17 December (the dates can be seen in our calendar here - link require access to Nordea's systems).

The board members Louise Naur, Mette Balck Mejlby (vice president), Louise Have Lund, Kasper Skovgaard Pedersen (president) and Natascha Bødker Feodor Nielsen on their way to hand out croissants at an event.
