Maximise your benefits from your End-Year Review and Check-Ins

Finansforbundet i Danske Bank has compiled some specific tips for how to make your End-Year Review and Check-Ins more valuable to you and to generate positive changes in your daily working life.

We work to ensure that our members thrive and develop in their job.

One of the ways to go is that as a member you get as much out of your End-Year Review and Check-Ins as possible. How you want to approach the conversation is entirely up to you.

But if you want the highest possible dividend out of the conversation, it is important that you prepare yourself.

Below, you get a few questions and points to focus on, so that you can prepare yourself formally and informally for your conversation.
(Some links on this page will direct  you to Danske Bank's pages. This means that you can only access these pages from a Danske Bank device.)

Start by getting an overview of Danske Bank's Employee Handbook, which gives you good advice and useful tips:

Questions  you can reflect on before the conversation

  • What does Forward '28 and the digital development mean to my competence development?
  • How do I ensure time for space to develop me? Prioritice your Development Check In's!
  • What are my personal and business goals?
  • How did things go in 2025 in terms of performance and behaviour?
  • How do I impress with my expertise and development needs, if any?
  • What are my wishes in the slightly longer term?

Have an overview of your tasks

A key element in your preparation is an overview of your tasks and a description of how you succeed on your goals, fulfil your job functions and contribute to business results.

Get feedback from colleagues

We recommend that you use the tools Danske Bank provides for feedback and evaluation. Find the tools on the HR portal and get feedback from your colleagues on what you are good at and where to improve.

You can use the answers in your preparation and perhaps share them with your leader.

Prepare your leader

Like you, your leader is also very busy, and leaders are met with many demands.

It may therefore also be a good idea to prepare your leader before your Review or Renew, if there is a specific subject you would like him or her to prepare for so that both of you can get the most out of the conversation.

Maybe your leader had missed some of your tasks or skills.
