OKRs – Turning Product Goals into Results
OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) – are a powerful tool for creating focus and direction – when used correctly. In this online course, you will learn how to translate strategy and product vision into concrete goals that teams can actually work with.
You will receive a practical introduction to the OKR method, real‑world best practices, and insight into the common pitfalls that prevent OKRs from working effectively in everyday practice. We look at how OKRs scale and cascade throughout organizational layers, and how they translate product vision and strategy into concrete action.
After the course, you will be able to:
- Understand what OKRs are and why they work well
- Define effective OKRs
- Understand how OKRs can be used to operationalize product vision and strategy
- Know how OKRs can create shared direction for your team/organization
The course provides you with all the foundational knowledge you need to start working with OKRs. You will learn how to set product goals, and we review examples that cover both pitfalls and best practices in designing and applying OKRs.
In addition, we focus on how product success can be measured, and you will be introduced to different product metrics. We work with how to distinguish between input, output, and outcome metrics, and what to measure during product development to ensure you are on the right path toward your goals.
Last but not least, we explore how OKRs can be used as a strategic tool to create focus and shared direction across the organization.
